The goal of this project is to improve religious literacy of S. Toraighyrov PSU students in the context of objectives outlined in the Address by the President N.A. Nazarbayev to the People of Kazakhstan “Kazakhstan-2050 Strategy: a New Political Course of the Established State”.

The Regional Scientific and Practical Center for the Study of Inter-ethnic and Inter-faith Processes of the University acted as the organizer and coordinator of the project.

The project was presented at a meeting chaired by the Rector of S. Toraighyrov PSU, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Serik Omirbayev.

Serik Omirbayev noted in his speech that the Bilim+ project is a logical continuation of systematic work carried out by the University in the field of raising religious literacy. It will help identify new priorities in educational work with the students.

The meeting was attended by deputy deans, heads of departments, teaching and auxiliary staff members of the University.

The novelty of the project consists in a complex approach to increasing the level of religious literacy among students. This will be achieved through establishment of information groups at each faculty of the University under the Bilim+ project and other measures in accordance with the project plan.
