A traditional methodology week for the teaching staff members of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University started on January 13, 2014. It is devoted to the parameters of the Bologna education process. The event was initiated by the Rector of the University.

During this week, the University will host a series of methodological seminars on discussion of the current trends of European higher education. These seminars will be attended by the Deans and Heads of Departments of S. Toraighyrov PSU.

Topics of the seminars: Implementation of Dublin Descriptors in Formation of a Modular Educational Program; Planning Academic Load in Credits; Organization of Students' Academic Achievements Control, etc.

Participants of the seminars will discuss such issues as accumulative education system, as an indicator of the Bologna process parameters, optimization of planning educational programs, improving the electronic journal of students' academic achievements, modern requirements for formation of modular educational programs.

The Rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Serik Omirbayev noted that “the innovative development of Kazakhstan's education is now being carried out taking into account the general lines of the Bologna process. Extensive discussion, which takes place during the methodology week, will make a contribution to the growth of intellectual potential of the nation and its competitiveness”.
