A large-scale anti-corruption campaign entitled “Clean Examination Period” has been started in education institutions all over the Republic. This campaign is aimed at combating bribery; it was organized by the Student Administration of the University, Students Union of S. Toraighyrov PSU, Committee for Youth Affairs, and Kazakhstan Students Alliance.

The main objective of the campaign is formation of legal awareness, active citizenship, and intolerance to violations of anti-corruption laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan. According to the organizers of the event, identifying specific acts of corruption is not their ultimate goal. The purpose of the campaign is to show students what corruption is and what consequences it may have.

A large-scale anti-corruption propaganda is carried out at the University: there are agitation posters and boxes for suggestions and comments in all academic buildings of the University. Surveys and round-table discussions will be conducted among students and teaching staff members.

Rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Serik Omirbayev encouraged students to actively participate in the fight against corruption in the University, monitor the implementation of the Clean Examination Period campaign, and strive to get a high-quality education.
