December 13, 2013 S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State Univesity hosted a scientific and practical conference devoted to discussion of the main provisions of the article written by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev “Social Modernization of Kazakhstan: Twenty Steps Towards a Society of Universal Labor”.

The Vice-rector for Research and Innovation of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Nurlan Yerzhanov noted in his opening speech that “the new social policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan is aimed primarily at creating a society of universal labor. This will allow us to get specific answers to such questions as what our society should look like under the conditions of the global instability, in the context of the new century, and how it can resist crises. According to our President, only honest and fruitful work can lead us, both the country and each of its citizens, to the new heights. Every citizen of Kazakhstan should adhere to these principles”.

S. Toraighyrov PSU scientists made the following reports: Main Aspects of the Program (Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Professor Serik Almukhanov and senior lecturer of the Department of Sociology and Political Science Gulnara Shamshudinova), Comprehensive Support of Entrepreneurship as the Leading Force of the National Economy (Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Aleksey Titkov), the Youth as the Main Component of the Force behind Social Modernization (Candidate of Juridical Sciences, Associate Professor Nursulu Musabekova); Information and Cultural Environment as a Fundamental Aspect of the Social Modernization Policy (Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Zuleykha Mardanova), the Main Directions of State Youth Policy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (senior lecturer of the Department of Management Adil Kuanyshbayev).

The theme of decent work specified by the Head of the State has caused a wide resonance and support in our society. The conference held at S. Toraighyrov PSU is yet another confirmation of this fact.
