Poetry readings in memory of a poet, composer, writer, novelist and screenwriter Bulat Okudzhava were held at the Concert Hall of S. Toraighyrov PSU.

The event was organized by Associate Professor of the Department of Russian Philology of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Candidate of Philological Sciences Olga Popovich.

Bulat Okudzhava is the author of over 800 poems. Many of his poems were written with music, he wrote about 200 songs. His songs were performed in movies, plays, concert programs, TV and radio broadcasts. Works by Bulat Okudzhava were translated into many languages and published in many countries around the world.

Students of the Faculty of Humanities and Education Temirlan Tulegenov (PD-302) and Leyla Zhantimirova (FiLr-302) performed some songs of Bulat Okudzhava. Famous lines written by this great poet were performed by Dmitriy Belogradov (FiLr-402) and Albina Abdullina (FilR-302).

Episodes of the documentary film about the life and work of the great poet and bard, as well as his live performances were demonstrated to the students and teaching staff members of the University.

At the end of the event, some classical music was played on the violin and guitar. The "Grace" dancing duet (PSU students Ulyana and Filipp Valov) performed a composition based on the music of the author.
