On August 2, 2013, the Regional Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University held a seminar on industrial energy saving.

Development of alternative energy converters (“green” energy) has become one of the most innovative, cutting-edge industries in our country. The President of Kazakhstan, Nursultan Nazarbayev, mentioned in his speech at the VII Astana Economic Forum: “Transition to "green" energy and introduction of "green" technologies is a growing vector of the global economy... Kazakhstan intends to continue development of renewable energy sources”.

The participants of the seminar were introduced to the scientific achievements of PSU scientists at the exhibition hall. As a result, cooperation agreements were signed with КаztonikaNT LLP (Astana), ASTerra LLP (Astana); EnergoAudit Kazakhstan LLP (Pavlodar); EcoWatt LLP (Almaty).

The event was attended by PSU scientists specializing in innovative technologies: the director of the Regional Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer Sergey Smaylov, director of Yertis Science and Technology Park Zhumabek Omarov, the Dean of the Faculty of Energy Engineering, c.e.s., Associate Professor Aleksandr Kislov, members of the teaching staff of the Faculty of Metallurgy, Machine Building, and Transport.

The problems of wind turbines production and wind power plants construction in Kazakhstan were discussed during the seminar.
