A presentation of scientific works and research projects of S. Toraighyrov PSU scientists was held for Seo Dong-young, the Vice-president of KC Cottrell (South Korea), and key employees of the company on July 26, 2013 during their working visit to Pavlodar region within the framework of mutually beneficial economic cooperation between Kazakhstan and South Korea in the field of green energy.

The delegation was received by the Vice-rector for Planning, Social and Educational Work Arman Akishev who warmly welcomed the guests and showed them a brief history of innovation activity of the University.

The representatives of KC Cottrell visited the Yertis science and technology park, Regional Center for Innovation and Technology Transfer and the machinery workshop.

The Korean colleagues showed great interest in the wind generator for lifting groundwater, design programs, and aluminum waste recycling plant.

The guests visited the research laboratories of the University, namely, the animal biotechnology laboratory and the plant biotechnology laboratory. A presentation of a unique power unit (a device for decontamination of water by means of electrical current discharge) was held for the Korean delegation at the Energy Conservation and Technology Research Center.

The employees of KC Cottrell highly evaluated the level of scientific work and research activity at the University and showed interest in cooperation in the field of environmental protection, industrial waste recycling, and electricity generation from renewable energy sources.
