S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University is a permanent member of the English Access Microscholarship Program for children from low-income, large and socially disadvantaged families. It is funded by the U.S. Department of State and supported by the U.S. Embassy in Kazakhstan.

English Access Microscholarship Program covers an intensive 2 year study of the English language. Such an opportunity is annually provided to the children from low-income, large and socially disadvantaged families.

The only provider of the project in Pavlodar region is S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

Project coordinator: Head of the Department of Foreign Philology, Candidate of Pedagogic Sciences, Associate professor Akmaral Kairbayeva.

30 children from low-income families are engaged in the project this year. Over the period of 4 semesters (2 years), they attended classes taught by the teachers of the Department of Foreign Philology of Pavlodar State University. Total duration of the course is 360 hours.

It has already become a tradition to finish the academic year in the summer camp, where children combine learning and entertainment. This year they went to the Chernoyarskaya Zhemchuzhina holiday home.

After completion of the course, the students received certificates signed by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the USA to Kazakhstan Kenneth J. Fairfax
