This year, the honorary figure of sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rafael Vakhitov is celebrating his 95th birthday.

Rafael Gaysich made a huge contribution to the development of Kazakhstan boxing.  Thanks to him, in Soviet times,  people started talking about Pavlodar boxers for the first time. He brought up a whole galaxy of athletes who won international competitions

- Probably, I won’t lie if I say that Rafael Gaysich went through difficult trials all his life.  What is the fact that at the age of 14, he had to work as a coppersmith at a factory evacuated during the war.  In the post-war years, he had a chance to work on the restoration of a children's health camp in Ukraine.  Probably, these and other events tempered our aksakal.  It is an incredible honor for the entire staff of Toraighyrov University to be friends with you.  You are always full of optimism and look to the future with confidence.  These are the qualities of a true leader who always goes to victory, - said the rector of the university Yerkin Sadykov.

 On this day, representatives from the Boxing Federation of Pavlodar region, the Department of Physical Education and Sports of Pavlodar region, as well as the Tatar-Bashkir public and cultural center of Pavlodar region came to congratulate the hero of the day.  In addition, the book "In motion" was presented.

 It should be noted that Toraighyrov University has a  hall named after the honorary worker of sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Rafael Vakhitov.
