The Pavlodar House of Unions hosted a meeting of trade union members with the Deputy Chairman of the Federation of Trade Unions of Kazakhstan Nurlan Uteshev.

The round table brought together representatives of trade unions from all over the region.  At the meeting, the intermediate results of information and explanatory work with the population regarding the upcoming referendum were announced.  The moderator of the dialogue platform was the rector of Toraighyrov University Yerkin Sadykov.  The deputy of the regional maslikhat Zharkynbek Amantai and the deputy chairwoman of the Trade Union Center of Pavlodar region Marina Ivanova addressed the audience and called on everyone to indicate their civil position at the nationwide vote on June 5.

 - I think very intensive work is going on in the regions.  Since May 6, more than 450 events have been held in Pavlodar region  to explain the proposed amendments to the Constitution, about 260 thousand people took part in them.  We are grateful to our Pavlodar colleagues for such a responsible approach to the matter, - said Nurlan Uteshev.

The participants of the meeting agreed that the referendum will allow every citizen to take a direct part in deciding the fate of the country and will strengthen the course towards democratization.
