Chairman of the Council of Kazakhstani veterans at the Embassy of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the Russian Federation, Honored Worker of the Diplomatic Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan Valery Batayevich Temirbayev visited S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

In a welcoming speech to the audience, Deputy Akim of Pavlodar region Meyram Begentayev wished that such meetings would become a good tradition, noting that such initiatives contribute to strengthening the ideals of student brotherhood and fellowship, the high authority of their alma mater.

Arman Akishev, Vice Rector on the development strategy, educational and social work, Doctor of Political Sciences told about the career path of V. Temirbayev, emphasizing that the graduates of PSU work in many spheres of life, occupy various posts and positions, and, most importantly, always remain professionals in their field.

In 1970, Valery Temirbayev graduated from the Power Engineering Department of Pavlodar Industrial Institute. For many years he held senior positions of the first secretary of the Ekibastuz city committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan, then of the Kustanay and Chimkent regional committees.

In 1991 he was appointed the first Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Russian Federation, and later to the Republic of Belarus and Turkmenistan. In different years, Valery Batayevich was a people's deputy and a member of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR, Plenipotentiary Representative of the RK, Chairman of the Commission on Economic Affairs under the Economic Council of the CIS,

At the meeting V. Temirbayev told about the years of study at the university, thanking the mentors for the knowledge given:

“I many times wanted to come back here. Here I was surrounded by wonderful teachers who had a special quality - to instill in you not only knowledge, but also the ability to live”, he recalls.

At the solemn event Valery Temirbayev was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of Pavlodar State University.
