S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University hosted a meeting with the members of the search detachment “Panfilovshylar”, who returned from the International “Memory Watch – 2018” to Tver Region (Russian Federation).

“Memory Watch, organized by the public association “Our Heritage” was held with the participation of 12 search teams from Moscow and Tver region.

Pavlodar detachment “Panfilovshylar” under the command of commander Bakhytzhan Utepov took part in the trip: local historian Marat Amenov, students of S.Toraighyrov PSU Sanzhar Tokumov, Alibek Altayev and Khazratiyahyozhon Alimov.

From April 26 till May 7, 2018 in the Zubtsovsky district of Tver region, the searchers examined several fields at once. Prospecting workswere conducted in the natural boundary Rozhdestvo.

According to Bakhytzhan Utepov, this year the third expedition to the Moscow region was held. Previously, the work was conducted near Volokolamsk and in Mozhaisk region. In 1942-1943 in Tver region in fierce battles fighters of 100 and 101 Kazakh divisions, including Pavlodar citizens, lost to 75 percent of military personnel.

“During the research together with Moscow colleagues, a sanitary burial was found, where 42 unnamed remains were found. Search works were conducted in hard-to-reach slumps, a large number of exhibits of the Great Patriotic War were found. All the remains will be reburied on June 21 in Nikiforovo village, Tver region”, B. Utepov added.

In the nearest plans of the detachment is participation in armored cars trip “Moscow-Brest-Moscow” at the invitation of Belarusian and Russian colleagues, which will be held in June this year. The total length of the route will be 2,300 kilometers. The way will pass through the battlefields of 1941.

15 units of military equipment will pass in one column, among which will be not only exhibits of Soviet cars, but also modern armored vehicles “Taifun-K” K-53949 and “Taifun-VDV” K-4386

Participants of the armored cars trip will be residents of Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Armenia.

Also, five representatives from Pavlodar will take part in the international “Memory Watch”, which will be held in Novgorod region in August.
