S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University and JSC “Kaspersky Lab” signed an agreement on cooperation.

The signing was held within the framework of the PROFIT Industry Day 2018 conference, dedicated to the use of advanced information technologies at enterprises of the industrial sector. 

The ceremony was attended by Gaukhar Akhmetova, the rector of  S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Candidate of Philosophical Sciences and Evgeny Pitolin, the managing director of “Kaspersky Lab” for Central Asia and Mongolia.

The agreement provides for joint development of educational programs and trends in the field of information security, training of lecturers of specialized departments on the basics of information security, consulting of system administrators and specialists.  

Within the framework of cooperation, the possibility of scholarships granting for students of the specialty “Information Security Systems” is being considered. 

In addition, a center with laboratory works of the manufacturer will be created at the university. 

“It is very important for us that we initiate our principles of information security within the framework of the university. I wish that as many people as possible would not just become professionals, they would not just be specialists, but they would still live and work in Kazakhstan”, E.Pitolin said.

He also emphasized the importance of moral qualities: “It is a known fact that when it comes to cybersecurity, a talented person without a moral code, but with the knowledge, soon or late becomes a criminal. Therefore, it is very important for us that these young students who grow up, feel their strength, talent and intellect, preserve cultural values”.
