The 1st International Forum of Searching Groups “IZDEU-2018” was held at S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

The forum is unique in that scientists, specialists in the history of the Second World War, searchers, filmmakers documentalists, granddaughters of the Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Panfilov - Alua and Aliya Baikadamova and members of the media from Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova and Estonia met and shared their experience during the event. .

Deputy Akim of Pavlodar region Meiram Begentayev spoke at the opening of the Forum. He thanked the searchers, emphasizing that the work of the searchers can not be overestimated. He also noted that Pavlodar region is the center of the searching movement in Kazakhstan.

“Pavlodar searchers have restored and erected 23 new memorials of the warriors of the Second World War on the territory of the Russian Federation. In close cooperation with Russian searching associations, the battle route of hundreds of Red Army men, called to the front from various regions of the former Kazakh SSR, was established”, Meiram Mukhametrakhimovich emphasized.

In her speech, Gaukhar Akhmetova, rector of Pavlodar State University, Candidate of Philosophical Siences noted that a searching group of students and teachers was created by joint efforts of Pavlodar Electrolysis Plant, the regional local history museum named after G. Potanin and PSU. The searching group received its name in honor of Maidan Komekovich Kusainov, alegendary searcher, military historian, professor of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University.

“The searching movement is of interest not only among scientists, searchers, historians, but also ordinary people. Their ranks are constantly being joined, because the memory is alive, it affects.

So, right before of the 75th anniversary of the feat date of the 312th Division of General I.Panfilov, it was decided to establish a student searching group “Panfilovshylar” at the university, to participate in the anniversary Watch of memory in Volokolamsk district of Moscow region, the motto o group is “We are the descendants of Panfilov heroes, there are millions of us”, G. Akhmetova said.

 An expanded discussion on several topics was held during the forum, where participants exchanged experience, discussed topical problems of the history and historiography of the Great Patriotic War, as well as the work of media on preserving the memory of soldiers of the Great Patriotic War and new forms of coverage of searching groups work.

A solemn rewarding of searchers who contributed to the formation of the searching movement in Kazakhstan was held at the end of the plenary session.

In addition, Maidan Kusainov and Zhumabek Kamzin were awarded the Gold Medal of S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, the title of the honorary professor of PSU was awarded to Laila Akhmetova, Doctor of Historical Sciences.
