The next stage of the VII winter Universiade of Kazakhstan on kettlebell lifting among men takes place at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

As the chief judge of the competitions, the judge of the international category Serik Abdakhin (Astana) noted, eleven teams took part in the competition - more than 60 athletes from higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Participants competed in weight categories from 63 kg to 95+ kg.

Athletes had to raise 16 24- and 32-kilogram kettlebell. For 10 minutes, participants had to make as many pushes and jerks of kettlebells as possible in the upright position. When the kettlebell touches the floor means automatically stopping the exercise.

“Kettlebell lifting can be practiced by anyone at any age. It positively affects the health of students, on their studies. Activities with kettlebells allow you to get their weight down, strengthen and build muscles. Kettlebell lifting also develops strength, endurance and good coordination of movements”, S. Abdakhin said.
