In the beginning of November PSU visited Michael Green, Director of the Strategic Partnership at University of Leicester, in Leicestershire, England.

Dr. Green arrived at PSU, aiming to develop a far-reaching cooperation on a range of educational programs and disciplines. His plans Dr. Green supported with signing of the 5-year memorandum of understanding between S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar state university and University of Leicester.

The university was founded in 1921 and today it is in the top 200 universities of the world. Cooperation of the top-rated university with Kazakhstan - as never before S.Toraighyrov PSU - is the only university in the Republic of Kazakhstan, where will be developed joint educational programs with the University of Leicester.

One of the priority objectives of cooperation between PSU and University of Leicester is introduction the program for earning MBA, Master of Business Administration degree, which has a broad international accreditation. In addition, the memorandum provides the deployment of academic mobility for students, teachers, professors and PSU employees, development of “Foundation” program to prepare senior school students to enter universities with teaching in English, the major universities of the world.

Michael Green has expressed confidence in the long-term cooperation, stressing that Kazakhstan does not have such a partnership between Kazakhstan and British universities, with the exception of Nazarbayev University, where cooperation is carried out in very narrow areas.
