By invitation of the Expert Club "Siberia-Eurasia" Head of the Department of Kazakhstan People’s Assembly Saule Nasenovna Mamytova took part in the International research and practice conference "XX century in the historical memory of Russia and Kazakhstan"
The conference was held within the framework of cross-border cooperation and was aimed at strengthening good-neighbour relations based on the study and promotion of the historical experience of mutually beneficial contacts in the context of modern processes of Eurasian integration.
Scholars from Institute of History of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Siberian Institute of Management - a branch of The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration and Kazakhstan scientists and public figures took part at the conference.
Mamytova S.N., doctor of historical sciences, professor of S.Toraighyrov PSU noted in her report that "in the age of globalization all countries are neighboring countries. But the neighbourship of Kazakhstan and Russia is especial unique. And not so much because our countries have the longest land border in the world, but because we have common values, common social and cultural space in which our peoples cooperate and develop several millennia. Scientific and educational institutions have a lot of potential for the development of this process. As exemplified by S.Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University was clearly presented the experience of the Eurasian scientific and educational integration. Particular attention was paid to the achievements and prospects of PSU cooperation with near-border Siberian universities.
Participation in the conference will further strengthen the relationship of Russia and Kazakhstan historians, clearly define areas of promising research the historical memory of the peoples of both countries and develop stands on some controversial issues.
