Active members of the Committee on Your Affairs of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University visited a family-type orphanage located in the village of Shakat, Pavlodar region.

The purpose of the visit was to support children left without parental care, help them improve their self-esteem and achieve personal fulfillment.

During the meeting, PSU students held psychological trainings and various competitions. Children from the orphanage showed their talents, took an active part in all games, and sang songs. The children really enjoyed doing all these activities with the students.

Organizers of the event say that this is not the first time they visit an orphanage. It has already become a tradition for PSU students to hold such events on a regular basis. Active members of the Committee on Youth Affairs visit orphanages and boarding schools of the city and region.

'Paying attention to the needs and problems of children left without parental care, our University shows its students the importance of compassion and humanity and makes its contribution to the development of charitable activities in our region,' said Director of the Department of Education and Social Affairs of S. Toraighyrov PSU Kayrbay Ashenov.

'Every child here needs attention and we do our best to provide it. It was so nice to see them smiling. I'm glad that our visits can make their lives a bit better,' said the Chairperson of the Committee on Youth Affairs Akbota Sarybay.

At the end of the meeting, members of the Committee gave children new balls for playing football, basketball and volleyball.
