A festive meeting dedicated to the Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place at the Concert Hall of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University on December 12, 2013.
The opening speech was delivered by the Rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Serik Omirbayev. Speaking about the main development stages of Kazakhstan and its increasing role in the international arena, the Rector emphasized that we can sum up the results of our successful research and educational activities for this year. “Our achievements are the result of a selfless teamwork. Each achievement is a victory of the team of responsive people, benevolent friends and skillful professionals wishing to achieve one common purpose - the prosperity of our University - with all their hearts and souls”, said Serik Omirbayev.
Active international positioning of Pavlodar State University in educational space is possible owing to the fact that the University strictly follows all priority directions of the state policy, including those in the field of democratic principles promotion.
A report on the history and achievements of independent Kazakhstan was made by the Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor Kayrat Battalov.
During this festive meeting, there was an awarding ceremony for the staff members of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University for significant contribution to socio-economic and cultural development of the University and the region. Serik Omirbayev presented diplomas and letters of appreciation from the Akim of Pavlodar region.
Then there was a gala concert for participants of the meeting. Members of the Student Philharmonic congratulated the University members by giving a number of excellent performances.
