As part of the official visit of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, a delegation of Toraighyrov University, consisting of the rector of the university Yerkin Sadykov, director of the International Office Aiganym Karibayeva and associate professor Viktor Kamkin, visited France.

- During the visit of the Head of State to the French Republic, the Ministry of Higher Education and Science and the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic signed a Declaration on cooperation in the field of higher education and scientific research.  The signing of the document took place during the 7th Kazakh-French Forum of Higher Educational Institutions, Minister of Science and Higher Education Sayasat Nurbek noted.

 - France is one of the most progressive states in this direction, the oldest universities of the world function here.  Therefore, the experience of our French colleagues in matters of academic mobility and double-degree education will be very useful to us.  In addition, this way we will get the opportunity to work with famous foreign professors, among whom there are Nobel laureates, - Yerkin Sadykov noted.

 Representatives of Toraighyrov University met with potential partners in the field of IT education (blockchain technology, artificial intelligence, etc.), biotechnology, as well as cooperation on R&D projects.  ToU delegation noted that there are interesting ideas for partnership in the field of standardization.

It should be noted that the Declaration on Cooperation between Kazakhstan and France includes five main points - this is support for the implementation of French, as well as joint educational programs and double degree programs in priority areas of the economy and taking into account the needs of Kazakhstan;  opening a branch of a French higher educational and research institution in Kazakhstan, which trains engineering personnel;  exchange of students, teachers, researchers and specialists; inclusion of new French universities in the list of recommended universities of the "Bolashak" scholarship program;  promotion of the program "500 scientific internships" among Kazakhstan people for scientific or professional internships in France, as well as other areas of bilateral cooperation.
