The republican subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions in the direction of "Metallurgy" was completed at Toraighyrov University.

In the team standings, "gold" was taken by students of East Kazakhstan Technical University named after D. Serikbayev, "silver"- by students of Aktobe Regional University named after K. Zhubanov, "bronze"- by
Karaganda Technical University named after A. Saginov.

Zhaksylyk Marash received the highest score and championship in the individual classification.
Second place was won by Angelina Gorkovenko, Anton Prokhorenko.
The third place was won by Beksultan Sarsenov, Dias Kakitaev, Diyas Kaiyrzhanov.

 - It is very pleasant that our university has once again become a platform where representatives of higher educational institutions from all over Kazakhstan have gathered.  Metallurgy is the most important industry for our country, where tens of thousands of people are involved, and therefore the development of this industry is of great importance for the domestic economy.  However, this will not be possible if we do not train qualified specialists and invest in their intellectual potential,” said Yerkin Sadykov, rector of the university.
