In celebration of the 35th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the “Zhana Kazakhstan” Republican Innovation Center is organizing the Republican Competition “ҒЫЛЫМ ҚАЙРАТКЕРІ”.

The main purpose of the competition is to promote the achievements of Kazakhstan’s science, recognize researchers and professionals who have contributed to scientific development, present research achievements to the public, and enhance the prestige of science and education among young people.

Research staff are eligible to participate in the competition.

Competition winners will receive:

-the “ҒЫЛЫМ ҚАЙРАТКЕРІ” badge;
-a certificate;
-the “ҒЫЛЫМ ҚАЙРАТКЕРІ” statuette;
-a diploma of the corresponding degree.

Applications and supporting documents are accepted until October 30, 2026.

JSC “Kazakh Scientific Research and Design Institute of Construction and Architecture”, jointly with buildingSMART Kazakhstan, invites students of your higher education institution to participate in the II National buildingSMART Kazakhstan Awards 2026 & Student SMART Cup in Digital Construction.

The Student SMART Cup 2026 student competition will take place on October 15, 2026, in Almaty. The award ceremony for the winners will be held on October 22, 2026, as part of the buildingSMART Kazakhstan Awards 2026 National Award and Conference dedicated to digital construction and openBIM.

The purpose of the conference and student participation is to support the development of digital competencies among future professionals, encourage the best student teams, strengthen the integration of higher education institutions into the practical application of BIM, and build a strong connection between the educational environment and the modern construction industry.

buildingSMART Kazakhstan Awards is a national award established to recognize and encourage the best projects, solutions, and initiatives aimed at the digital transformation of the construction industry. Particular attention within the framework of the award is given to the implementation of openBIM standards, effective digital tools, and innovative approaches to managing the life cycle of construction projects.

In 2026, the award will recognize industry leaders who have made a significant contribution to the development of digital construction in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The award will also include the nomination “Student SMART Cup 2026 Winner (University Information Modeling Team)”.

The winning team will be selected by a jury consisting of three independent experts. Teams consisting of three 3rd- or 4th-year students from technical and architecture/construction programs are invited to participate. Research supervisors, postgraduate students, and lecturers may also participate as mentors within the project team.

Please note that applications for participation in the Student SMART Cup will be accepted until September 30, 2026.

The national marathon "Reading Nation," aimed at promoting reading, enhancing reading culture, and developing sustainable habits of independent book reading, has launched.

The marathon is being implemented to fulfill the Decree of the Head of State, Kassym-Jomart Kemelevich Tokayev, dated May 16, 2026, "On measures to develop a culture of reading and form a reading nation."

All students and faculty members are required to register on the official platform: reading-nation.kz.

Registration deadline: through September 15, 2026, inclusive.

Faculty members must select the "Reading Intellectual" section during registration.

Active participation by students and faculty members will contribute to raising the ranking indicators of Toraighyrov University and the Pavlodar Region.
