Personal education during university studies is the most important stage in the formation of a future specialist, when the purposeful educational impact on a person of the educational system organized and regulated by society is completed, consisting in a purposeful influence on the intellectual, spiritual, physical and cultural development of a personality.

    The purpose of educational work: improving educational activities that promote the development of a moral, physically healthy personality capable of creativity and self-determination.

Tasks of educational work:

- to instill in the student a love of learning, to make them understand their role in learning activities;

- to cultivate the skills of caring for material property;

- to achieve conscious discipline, to continue learning the rules of behavior for students;

- to foster love for the Motherland, respect for the peoples inhabiting it;

- to teach you to see the beautiful in life, in people's actions;

- foster respect for nature;

- to educate physically prepared, seasoned people;

- to assist in intellectual development, to help increase his interest in learning activities;

- to help everyone realize their creative potential, to reveal their individuality;

- to form the "image of a successful person" as an element of student culture;

- promote the development of initiative and creative activity;

- to develop cooperation between teachers and students.

    The principles guiding education towards the development of a socially active, educated, morally and physically healthy personality in modern conditions for all participants in the educational process in universities should be:

-democracy, which involves the implementation of an educational system based on the pedagogy of cooperation and interaction between teachers and students;

objectivism and humanism as the basis of interaction with subjects of education;

- respect for universal human values, rights and freedoms of citizens, correctness, tolerance, observance of ethical standards;

-professionalism, organization, responsibility, discipline and self-discipline, competence, deep knowledge, skills and abilities in the specialty;

-constructiveness, rationalism, active participation in the social life of the university, amateur activities, sports events, etc.;

-tolerance, which implies a pluralism of opinions, approaches, and different ideas for solving the same problems, tolerance for other people's opinions, consideration of their interests, tolerance for a different way of life and behavior that does not exceed the regulatory requirements of laws.

    Educational work at the department is carried out in accordance with the HR plan of the PHEN and the HR plan of the Non-profit Joint-Stock Company "Toraigyrov University".

    Students of all courses systematically participated in various events held at the university: sports competitions, the Miss TOU beauty contest, an essay contest, a FAN student initiation, a football tournament for the rector's cup, a flash mob, and debates.

   During the 2024-2025 academic year, students of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies participated:

- in volunteer work , environmental actions and clean-up days;

- in the conference: scientific and practical conferences "Toraigyrov readings", "Satpayev readings";

- in the training at the Youth Initiatives Development Center.

    Students of the department of 1-4 courses in all specialties completed advanced training courses in the Coursera educational platform.

    4th year students participated in Job Fairs organized by the Career Center of NAO "Toraigyrov University".

    Curators of academic groups conducted curatorial hours on the following topics:

- "Constitution Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan";

- "Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan";

- "It is our civic duty to speak the state language";

- "About the state symbols".

   In general, students of the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technologies actively participate in the research work of the department.

    A large-scale anti-corruption campaign "Clean Session", organized by the Compliance Service and the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, was held at the Non-profit Joint Stock Company "Toraigyrov University".

    The main purpose of the "Clean Action" campaign is the formation of legal awareness and active citizenship of students, intolerance to violations of the anti–corruption legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

    Campaigning against corruption was carried out during the campaign. In this way, "Trust Boxes" were installed in all university buildings for students' comments and suggestions. In addition, students were surveyed for satisfaction with the quality of educational services and exams, and open discussions of problems related to negative facts during the exam session were organized.
