86% of Pavlodar graduates submitted applications for participation in a unified national testing - this is a record for all years the indicator of those wishing to continue their studies and get higher education.

This year in the Pavlodar region the last bell will ring for 3,770 high school graduates, 3,252 of them will participate in UNT. According to Sania Niyazova, head of the branch of the Testing Center of the Ministry of Education and Science, the remote application form allowed to remove all restrictions for those wishing to take the test for admission to universities in the country.

We did a lot of work with schools, explained and helped students submit documents through the electronic portal. Given that, in addition to this year graduates, those who have finished school earlier and college students will also take part in UNT, we are preparing for a significant increase in the number of applicants in universities of Pavlodar region.

S. Toraighyrov PSU states that they are also preparing for a significant increase in the number of students. Among the reasons there are not only favorable external factors, but also significant changes in internal processes, thanks to which Pavlodar university from year to year is among the five best in the country. S. Toraighyrov PSU took the 5th place out of 89 participating in the study of the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR). When compiling the rating, a number of indicators are taken into account: the quality of publications of faculty members in international rating journals, successful projects implemented with grants from the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, awards and state scholarships, number of patents, employment of graduates, victories at olympiads, honors students, cooperation with foreign universities, etc.

“From year to year, we occupy high positions in the ratings of Kazakhstan universities, thanks to the active cooperation of the entire faculty with leading enterprises of Pavlodar region and wide international relations,” said Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs Petr Bykov.

College graduates who successfully passed UNT can participate in the competition for the award of a state general education grant for higher education. According to Tamara Bil, the head of the Admission office at S. Toraighyrov PSU, this year, compared to last year, the number of people wishing to continue their studies in their specialty at the university also significantly increased among college graduates.
