Having visited the Pavlodar region, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Czech Republic to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Rudolf Gikl, visited S. Toraighyrov PSU.

He did not expect, but found in the archaeological museum materials of Andronovo culture that made him think.

Those present immediately drew attention to the portrait similarity of a high-ranking guest with the reconstruction of a person from the Bronze Age.

Victor Mertz explains it this way:

“The ancient population of Kazakhstan of the Bronze Age belonged to the haplogroup R1a and the modern population of Eastern and Western Europe to the haplogroup R1a and R1b. The inhabitants of Eastern Europe, belonging to this and a close haplogroup, are connected with the steppe peoples of the Bronze Age by ancestry. And outwardly, by reconstruction, these people are similar to modern Europeans. So, the territory of ancient Kazakhstan is the ancestral home of modern Europeans and not only. These are people who speak Indo-European languages. They can be connected linguistically, genetically and anthropologically. ”

As part of the official part, those present spoke about volunteering and cooperation of PSU with Czech universities. They dwelt upon the joint scientific research with Palacky University. So, scientists cooperate on soil salinization, give lectures and work on the creation of an international project on the development of ecotourism in Pavlodar region, drawing on the experience of colleagues from the Czech Republic.
