Since 2019, S. Toraighyrov PSU introduced new methods for assessing exam papers in the form of blind assessment through encryption and verification by external experts. Encryption of work is carried out through a QR code, so the examiner does not know whose work he/she is checking.

This technology has already been tested during entrance examinations at PSU College and entering PhD doctoral programs.

From the new academic year, verification of all written works, including reports, semester works, essays, and of course diploma and master's works on plagiarism through the world famous Turnitin software (USA), is being introduced.

According to the Vice-Rector for Academic Work, Candidate of Technical Sciences Peter Bykov and the first vice-rector of D. Serikbayev EKSTU, Candidate of Technical Sciences Saule Rakhmetullina, the written work of students of related specialties will be evaluated by teachers of another university, which will ensure impartiality and objectivity in assessing knowledge.

The practice of attracting employers to measures to assess the level of knowledge of students is under way.

According to the head of the Metallurgy department, Candidate of Technical Sciences, professor Merkhat Suyundikov, the initiative to outsource the examination of students' exam papers will increase the transparency and trust in the work of universities on the part of society and stakeholders.

These events are implemented as part of PSU joining the league of academic honesty and the activities of the “Sanalyurpak” front office.
