The best athletes from 40 countries attended the World Grappling Championship which was held in Baku city on the day before.

Competitions were held in the sections of grappling gi - with kimono, as well as grappling no-gi - without kimono.

Grappling is a kind of sports competition, combining the technique of all wrestling disciplines, with minimal restrictions on the use of painful and submission holds. This fight does not include strikes and the use of weapon.

The sportswoman Dina Kakenova, who presented the jiu-jitsu section of Pavlodar State University, defended the honor of Pavlodar region. In a serious fight, she won the first place and the title of World Champion in grappling, in the weight category of 49 kg, age 16-17 years.

Dina is a pupil of Master of Sports of International Class in jiu-jitsu, a holder of black belt of 3 dan in traditional and blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, acting coach of Pavlodar State University Zairbek Abylkadyrov.

In the opinion of Kanat Alin, the president of the Kazakhstan Grappling Federation, founder and head coach of the jiu-jitsu academy "Atos Kazakhstan", Kazakhstan national team managed to show the best result in the history of the national grappling. Especially teams of cadets and juniors distinguished, where our team took the third team place.
