The rector of the university informed that 15 innovative works on the rational use of natural resources and application of new, alternative energy sources were presented at the Expo-2017 by scientists of the university.

Within the framework of the exhibition, an agreement was concluded to implement mutual programs with the University of Nanking. In the framework of the scientific and educational exchange, students will have the opportunity to undergo internship and practice, develop joint research projects, hold international conferences and seminars on technical direction and international business.

University scientists recommended a number of Expo-2017 projects for implementation in institutions and enterprises of Pavlodar region, among them are wind power plant (Germany), wind generator plant (Turkey), and "Blue Coal" technology (Poland).

In addition, the university will implement two more projects: solar-powered autonomous lamps (India), which can be widely used in street lighting and farms, as well as a project for the use of pedestrian slabs for electricity generation (UK). The system can be mounted on highways and access roads to large infrastructure facilities.

The technologies of these works will be studied within the framework of the student research program "Zhas galym" and will be further developed and promoted by the university's commercialization office with the assistance of the akimat of the Pavlodar region.

It was also noted that 82 university students took part in the exhibition as volunteers, thanks to which they were able to improve qualitatively the language competencies, develop flexibility and creativity of thinking, intellectual potential in different scientific directions through familiarity with unique technological achievements in the field of alternative energy.
