The day before PSU was visited by Springer publishing house. The second-large publishing house in the world was presented by its licensed manager in the Republic of Kazakhstan Irina Alexandrova.

I. Alexandrova timed her arrival at PSU to scientific and practical seminar entitled «The use of Springer resources for personnel training of innovative economy».

Springer Science+Business Media (Springer-Verlag until 1999) – is an international publishing company specializing in the publication of academic journals and books on scientific directions (theoretical science, medicine, economics, engineering, architecture, construction and transport).

The company today consists of 70 publishing houses worldwide with the total number of employees more than 5,000 people. Annually over 1,450 journals and 5,000 books are published. The company is the second-large publishing house in the world after Elsevier in the "STM" field (science, technology, medicine).

The purpose of the seminar developed by Ms. is to increase the activity of the Kazakhstan scientists when publishing in rating journals published by Springer. Publication in such authoritative scientific journals due to their high impact factor allows scientists to multiply increase the citation of their researches and scientific works. 

According to the participants of the seminar its practical value doesn’t raise doubts. Many participants noted requirement for detailed consultations on publications in international scientific journals. In this regard, Ms. Alexandrova gave participants a complete explanation articulating the many nuances and peculiarities which PSU scientists can meet.

Springer specialist explained in detail how to choose a journal for publication, how to use the guide for authors on the website, what technical substantive requirements for the scientific article are imposed and how to increase the chances of the article for publication.
