Akim of Pavlodar Bolat Bakauov presented Birlik Student Assembly of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University with a Letter of Recognition for the valuable contribution to strengthening of peace and consent in society within the framework of the Youth Policy and Patriotic Upbringing Board meeting.

Activists of Birlik Student Assembly carry out great work on popularization of ideas of the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and strengthening of coherence among students of different ethnicities, living in Pavlodar Priirtyshye. Thus, being supervised by the oblast scientific expert group, students explore ethnoculture and ethnojournalism and hold large-scale student festivals of ethnic groups. During 2015, the student assembly has organized over ten events promoting the youth upbringing in terms of Kazakhstan patriotism. The University holds Ethnoculture Days, unified lessons of the assembly and a dialogue platform “Tatulyk”, which unites the leaders of ethnocultural associations of the region. Besides this, there is a regular column “Under the Shanyrak of the Assembly” in the Bilik student newspaper.

Ramil Smailov, being the chairman of the student assembly, has drawn attention to the fact that the year 2015, which is coming to its end, demonstrates that Birlik proudly bears the title of the affiliate of the Oblast Assembly of People of Kazakhstan and the agency of student government. 

“The student youth association is going to strengthen its efforts in the sphere of interregional relations. The Assembly of People of Kazakhstan has become an effective tool for preservation and development of principles of mutual respect and consent in society. This is particularly true today, when the world changes fast and young people often lose touch with the heritage of ancestors,” said Ramil.
