A Gala Matriculation Ceremony for the University’s freshmen was held in the Concert Hall of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

Creative collectives of the Student Philharmonic and students of PSU participated in the festive program.

The rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University Aryn Orsariyev congratulated freshmen on the beginning of their interesting student life, having noted that “in particular today’s youth is able to accumulate scientific potential of the country and become the intellectual elite in future”. “Now, it is important for you to make much effort to extract all the good out of every new day of your life. Just remember that we live in a fast-changing world. Knowing this, we must be ready to meet adequately all global challenges of our age. Today, you have become full members of a big family named S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University. I am sure that you will smoothly join the education process and consider yourself at home” said Aryn Amangeldinovich.

Revision competitions were held among the faculties of PSU for the last few weeks. The best performances were included in the Gala Concert program. The most active faculties were awarded diplomas and letters of appreciation.

The Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Information technologies received a third-degree diploma for artistry and individuality. The Faculty of Metallurgy, Machine Building and Transport was awarded a second-degree diploma for the innovative form of event execution and originality. The Faculty of Humanities and Education won an honorary first-degree diploma. And the Gran Prix of the competition was given to the Faculty of Architecture and Construction.

So that freshmen could consider themselves real students, they took an oath and sang the international student anthem “Gaudeamus igitur”.

Saying the words “I swear”, every freshman has begun a new life, which promises to be an interesting, vivid and unique one.
