In the great city of winds and space launches, in Baikonur the Kazakhstan Powerlifting Championship has ended with success recently. Yernur Haylyamov, a student of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, became the winner of the competition and received the 1st place medal in the 59 kg weight class, holding a great total of 487 kg.

The championship held in Baikonur has been a preliminary competition leading to qualification for the Asia Championship, which takes place on December 13-20 in Tashkent.

Yernur is an experienced and skilful sportsman, who has earned a great number of victories.

The sportsman plans to comply with norm requirements for the title of International Master of Sports at the forthcoming Asia Championship.

Besides this, the coming year has been already planned out. In February-March, 2016 the Universiade will be held in Almaty, where Yernur will stand for the honor of the University. The Universiade will become a preliminary round for the World Championship taking place in the Republic of Belarus. But before this, Yernur will participate in the World Championship in the USA.

The result achieved by the sportsman in Baikonur is his personal best. Weighting 59 kg, Yernur was able to lift 487 kg!
