The solemn opening of the nominal classroom of the National Architect of the USSR, the Laureate of the State Prize of the USSR, the Member of the International Academy of Architecture, the Honorary Professor of PSU, Kaldybay Zhumagaliyevich Montahayev was conducted at the Faculty of Architecture and Construction of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University.

The scholars of the Faculty of Architecture and Construction, community representatives and relatives of K. Montahayev took part in the solemn ceremony.

Greeting guests, the rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University Aryn Orsariyev emphasized that Kaldybai Montahayev was an outstanding architect-innovator, who strived for realizing complex tasks in municipal engineering cluster. “Kaldybay Zhumagaliyevich was a person with the broadest outlook, naturally gifted in unusual vision of architectural conceptions. Kaldybay Zhumagaliyevich was recognized as one of the coryphaei of architecture at the turn of the third millennium, and undoubtedly, creations of such master embody a new memorable period of time in the epoch of the modern architecture of the Republic of Kazakhstan”, said Aryn Amangeldinovich.

Kaldybay Zhumagaliyevich was engaged in engineering and building up of the President Residence of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Administration of Ministers’ Cabinet, the Parliament Building, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Congress Hall, the infrastructure of the airport of Astana. The microdistricts of Almaty, such as Orbita, Aynabulak and Aksay, and many other objects were skillfully engineered by Kaldybay Zhumagaliyevich.

K. Montahayev was the member of the International Academy of Architecture (Moscow), he also had been elected as the vice-president of the International Academy of Architecture of East countries.
