S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University held a volleyball competition for the Rector's Cup among the academic and support staff members of the University.

Nurlan Yerzhanov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation at S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, welcomed the participants of the competition and wished them good luck. He also stressed that from now on, the competition will be held on a regular basis.

More than 10 teams representing faculties and structural units of the University took part in the competition.

In a tough struggle for victory, the team of the Facilities Administration Department and the Faculty of Architecture and Construction won the main prize. A very solid performance by the team of the Faculty of Physics, Mathematics and Information Technology helped them take the second place, leaving behind the team of the Faculty of Energy Engineering.

“The final games were spectacular and very intense. Participants of the competition fought for every ball and demonstrated the beauty and unpredictability of volleyball,” said Yelena Ferber, the Chief Referee of the competition.

“The competition was held at a good organizational level, all participants showed great technical and tactical skills. The final game was particularly exciting. We saw a good game with great team work from both sides,” said Vladimir Teykhrib, the chief secretary, and referee of the national category.
