A meeting with the Akim of Pavlodar Region, Asain Baikhanov, took place at the regional Pavlodar Hub, where participants reviewed the progress of the region’s IT ecosystem and ongoing startup projects.
Toraighyrov University actively participated in the event. During the meeting, the university’s students presented their own technological developments and startup initiatives.
Azizbek Tatenov, a second-year master’s student (group MIS-22n), introduced Medora, an AI-powered web application designed for the preliminary analysis of disease symptoms, with a particular focus on skin conditions. The platform allows users to upload an image of a problematic skin area and receive a preliminary analytical result generated through machine learning algorithms.
Third-year students (group CS-302) Stanislav Kirichenko and Islam Kulenov presented solutions within the Involve Ecosystem, an initiative aimed at improving the quality of life for people with disabilities. Their projects included a digital accessibility map of urban infrastructure, the Unity Action city events platform, and NeuroNews, a web application that generates news content using artificial intelligence technologies.
During the meeting, the Akim reviewed the student projects, asked follow-up questions, and discussed further development steps with the participants. In his closing remarks, he emphasized the importance of bringing startups to practical implementation, noting that their results should benefit not only the region but the entire country. He also expressed confidence that these initiatives could grow into large-scale technology companies, following the example of Higgsfield.
The participation of Toraighyrov University students in such meetings highlights the strong potential of the region’s youth and their readiness to contribute to the development of Kazakhstan’s digital economy.
