A "round table" on the topic of "Environmental problems of  Pavlodar region and ways to solve them" was held at Toraighyrov University, on the eve of the 65th anniversary of the university and within the framework of the "Taza Kazakhstan" program.

 

The event was opened by the Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, Candidate of  Chemical Sciences, Professor Madeniet Elubay, noting the importance of an open dialogue between the scientific community and environmental practitioners.

In addition, the speaker was the state environmental inspector Sabina Mukhametkalym, who presented a detailed analysis of the environmental situation in the region. Data on pollutant emissions, waste levels, and key sources of environmental risk were presented.

Candidate of Biological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Biology and Ecology Alexander Ubaskin presented a scientific analysis of current environmental threats to the biodiversity of  Pavlodar region.

 The scientific and practical part of the event was continued by students in "Environmental Protection and Rational Use of Natural Resources" and "Ecology" programs.

During the discussion, the participants identified priority tasks for increasing the efficiency of water use and protecting aquatic ecosystems.
