ToU student Alexander Kurmantayev became the best player of the tournament, scoring 48 points.

 The award was presented to him by the President of the Boccia Federation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Maulen Ashimbaev.

For three days, more than 50 of the strongest boccia players in Kazakhstan competed for the title of champion on the site of the Martial Arts Palace named after.  Zh. Ushkempirov.

 - Alexander Kurmantayev, who became the best at the republican boccia tournament, is an example of incredible perseverance and positivity.  It is important when a person pays attention not only to studies, but also to sports or his other hobby.  Thanks to this, each of us develops from different perspectives,” noted the rector of the university, Yerkin Sadykov.

Young and adult athletes from Astana, Almaty, Zhetysu, Karaganda, Pavlodar, Abai, Zhambyl, Mangystau, Atyrau regions gathered to participate in the Boccia Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
