Associate Professor of Toraighyrov University, PhD, Alexander Barukin became the winner of the Republican competition of achievements in the field of invention “Shapagat-2023” in the “Young Inventor” category.

Electric power engineer Alexander Barukin, together with his colleagues, is developing diagrams of open switchgear for power plants, which will be more reliable than analogues and will ensure operability even in emergency situations.

- Man-made accidents in the world's power systems over the past 20 years have occurred due to the superposition of various failures, among which there were almost always failures of elements of the open switchgear circuits of power plants. At the same time, economic damage to consumers sometimes reaches fantastic proportions. The ultimate goal of the inventions is energy saving through the development of new open switchgear schemes for power plants that will be more reliable than analogues, said Alexander Barukin.

It should be noted that the selection in the “Young Inventor” nomination was carried out according to such criteria as social significance, economic effect of using the invention, environmental safety, competitiveness, introduction into production and/or commercialization of technologies.
