The celebration of the 165th anniversary of the Kazakh poet and thinker Mashkhur Zhussup Kopeyev was held in the Bayanaul region.

 Toraighyrov University held a presentation of the audiobook "Mashkhur Zhol", a 10-volume book by Mashkhur Zhussup Kopeyev "Tandamaly shygarmalar zhinagy", as well as a meeting of mashkhur scholars, at which reports were made by the Minister of Culture and Sport of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askhat Oralov, the Minister of Information and Social Development Darkhan Kydyrali, Senate Deputy of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Altynbek Nukhuly, great-grandson of Mashkhur Zhussup Kazhymukan Pazylov and others.

The rector of ToU Yerkin Sadykov addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.

 - Today, we remember Mashkhur Zhussup as an outstanding thinker, teacher, and public figure.  A true patriot was always ready to benefit his homeland, his people.  He devoted his life to research and knowledge, strived for enhancement of knowledge and enlightenment of society.  When we talk about the legacy of Mashkhur Zhussup, we remember not only his contribution to education and culture.  We see how this legacy continues to affect us.

 As part of the celebration of anniversary, sports games of baiga and kokpar, competitions in kazaksha kures, as well as a republican competition among zhyrshy, termeshi and aityskers were held.

 In addition, an international Central Asian fair was held with the participation of artisans from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, an exhibition of artists, and the awarding of winners of sports competitions was held during the event.
