Research

1. The Faculty’s research topics

Research projects of the Faculty are carried out in 6 scientific fields:

Formation of the Fundamentals of Logic-Algebraic Education in Higher Education Institutions. (supervisor: B. N. Drobotun, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Candidate of Physico-mathematical Sciences, a Corresponding Member of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan) Research on the given topic was carried out:

а) in 4 monographs published abroad (in the Russian Federation, two of them were published twice (in 2007 and 2009) and two of them were translated into the Kazakh language;

b) in 2 study guides recommended for publication by the Republican Educational and Methodical Board of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and Kazakh National Technical University after K. I. Satpayev (with approval of the Educational and Methodical Section of the Republican Educational and Methodical Board;

c) in research articles published in Kazakhstan and abroad, in reports at international and republican scientific and scientific-practical conferences;

d) in 14 acts of implementation into the practice of mathematics education at Higher Educational Institutions of Kazakhstan and Russia.

A considerable contribution to development of research on the given topic is made by graduate and postgraduate students, majoring in Mathematics, supervised by B. N. Drobotun. In particular, master’s students N. I. Mukhametzyanova, R. T. Akhmetov, Ye. Sh. Oralov, O. I. Panasenko, N. B. Yeginbayeva et al., and also students Z. Yergali, M. Kusmanova, Ye. Dzhussupova, M. Zhanyspayeva, G. Sarsenbayeva, R. Sadykova, D. Temirkhanova, V. Gaydak, et al. were awarded by diplomas of 1st, 2nd and 3rd degrees at international conferences held on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In accordance with the given field students together with their supervisors published over 30 scientific works in different scientific periodicals of the Republic of Kazakhstan and more than 25 reports of international and republican level scientific conferences.

The successful defense of 9 master’s theses and over 15 bachelor’s theses was the result of the given activities. Over 150 scientific works on this topic, including 4 monographs, 3 study guides and 3 educational methodical guides, were published.

Formation and Development of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) Competences of the pedagogical staff. The supervisor: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics Vassiliy Andreyevich Krivoruchko.

Professor V. A. Krivoruchko received the title “Best Lecturer of the University 2014” (he won a similar title in 2008), in May, 2015 he was elected as a corresponding member of Concord International Academy (France). V. A. Krivoruchko is a member of the Academic Board of the affiliate of “National Center for Professional Development “Orleu”” JSC the Institute of Professional Development of Pedagogical Workers of Pavlodar oblast, an expert analyst of “National Center for Scientific and Technical Information” JSC on the part of PSU. A master’s student N. N. Shpigar, supervised by Professor V. A. Krivoruchko, won a III degree diploma and received a certificate for participation in the republican competition “The best upgraded, the best new program of a professional development course for pedagogical workers”, “The best educational-methodical complex for a short-term professional development course for pedagogical workers” held by “National Center for Professional Development “Orleu”” JSC of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Almaty, 2014.

A monograph on the research topic was published in France in English “Design of control and measurement of materials to estimate the ICT level – competence of pedagogical workers: monograph”.

Development of the theory of congruences in groups. The supervisor: Candidate of Physico-mathematical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Mathematics and Informatics Ivan Ivanovich Pavluk. In 2012-2014 the research project was financed by the Science Committee under the program 055 “Grant financing of scientific researches” (the state registration No.0112РК02319). The Department’s graduate and postgraduate students, as well as talented pupils of Pavlodar oblast carried out work on the research topic.

Supervised by Professor I. I. Pavluk scientific projects of pupils and students were honored with awards. In 2011 a student majoring in Mathematics M. Navalikhina won the competition held by the Fund of the First President of the Republic Kazakhstan and received a gold medal for the best scientific project. In 2014 M. Zhanyspayeva, a student majoring in Mathematics, won the 3rd degree diploma for the effective scientific report at the Republican Student Scientific and Practical Conference held at L. N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University. Yu. Gertz, a year 11 pupil of a residential school for talented children of Pavlodar oblast and a year 11 pupil, a cadet of a military school M. Mukhamed-ali were honored with the 1st and 2nd degree diplomas respectively for the scientific report at the International Scientific Conference “The XV Satpayev Readings”.

Innovative technologies in education. The supervisor: Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of PSU Almagul Zhayakovna Assainova. The research topic relates to informatization of education: content structuring, development of electronic educational editions. There are 70 publications on the research topic in scientific journals of neighboring and far-abroad countries, of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 32 out of them are electronic programs, having the certificate of the author rights state registration. In 2011 she participated in the Summit of Electronic Course Developers in Moscow; she is a member of the E-Learning Pro electronic course developers community.

Wave processes in heterostructures with different physico-mathematical features. The supervisor: Candidate of Physico-mathematical Sciences Marat Karatayevich Zhukenov. Initiative-retrieval scientific research on the following topics is carried out by the academic staff members of the Department of Physics and Instrumentation:

The study of wave processes in elastic anisotropic media (elastic, bending waves);

The study of wave processes in thermoelastic anisotropic media (thermoelastic waves);

The study of wave processes in piezoelastic anisotropic media (elastic and electromagnetic waves);

The study of wave processes in magneto-elastic anisotropic media (elastic and electromagnetic waves);

The study of wave processes in dielectric anisotropic media (electromagnetic waves);

The study of wave processes in anisotropic media with electromagnetic effect (elastic and electromagnetic waves).

Over 20 graduate theses, 30 master’s theses and 5 PhD theses in Physico-mathematical Sciences, supervised by Professor S. K. Tleukenov, were successfully defended by the graduate and postgraduate students and academic staff members of the Department of Physics and Instrumentation, i.e. N. A. Ispulov, Sh. N. Sarymova, T. S. Dossanov, M. K. Zhukenov, A. K. Seytkhanova. In 2011 Candidate of Physico-mathematical Sciences M. K. Zhukenov and Candidate of Physico-mathematical Sciences T. S. Dossanov were honored with a reward from the Fund of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

 2. International Cooperation

One of the projects in educational cooperation of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University with the National Research Tomsk State University became the implementation of a dual-diploma master’s program in Physics (with the subprogram in Information Processes and Systems).

In October, 2013 according to the results of the VI competition of the Tempus program of the European Union three projects of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, one of them was carried out by the academic staff members of the Faculty, were selected for funding by the European Commission.
