Curriculum Support and Development

Development of learning and teaching materials.

Development of learning and teaching materials for all academic programs of the Department is 100% complete. Work programs on all types of practical training have been updated (production practical training 1, 2). Methodological guidelines on final assessment and graduation projects have also been updated. Work programs on state exams and entrance exams for Master’s degree programs in the state and Russian languages have been improved.

In 2017-2018 academic year, the Department conducted classes in 225 disciplines: 123 of them (54.7%) in Russian, 102 (45.3%) in Kazakh. The Department provided 100% of teaching and learning materials.

Syllabi conforming to the regulatory requirements and internal standards of the University have been developed for all disciplines of the Department.

The multilingualism program is implemented through Master’s degree programs: 6М072100 Chemical Technology of Organic Substances, 5B072000 Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances and 6М072000 Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances.

The Department continues its work scheduled for the 2017-2018 academic year on implementation of the multilingual education program regarding the following Bachelor’s degree programs (with students enrolled in 2015 whose language of instruction is Kazakh): 5В072000 Chemical Technology of Inorganic Substances, 5В072100 Chemical Technology of Organic Substances and 5В060600 Chemistry.

The Department has developed curricula for 2018 Bachelor’s and Master’s degree students.

In 2017-2018 academic year exams were taken in a combined form (a testing written exam). Academic staff members of the Department have developed a large database of tests on general and principal disciplines. Test tasks for the disciplines of external evaluation of academic achievements (the abbreviated name in Russian: VOUD) have been developed as well.

Auezov South Kazakhstan State University).
