• B.T. Kusanova took professional development courses in Veterinary Sanitary Expertise (100 hours) from April 1 till 19, 2013, at Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology named after K.I. Skryabin (certificate of a short-term professional development course completion).
• Associate Professors A.A. Temirzhanova, Zh.Zh. Uakhitov, L.M. Usenova, K.B. Umashev attended a course of lectures by Esra Sungur, Associate Professor from Turkey, Stambul, and received certificates for completing the course in “New Methods in Microbiology” (72 hours). The course lasted from November 12 till 23, 2013.
• Professor, Head of the Department N.B. Burambayeva, Associate Professors T.Sh. Asanbayev, Zh.Zh. Uakhitov, A.A. Temirzhanova, R.B. Abeldinov, L.M. Usenova, K.B. Umashev, senior lecturers B.T. Kusanova, K.K. Seytkhanova, asisstant lecturer A. Iskakova took part in the online seminars devoted to the use of Thomson Reuters Research Resources and received certificates for participation.
• Associate Professors of the Department T.Sh. Asanbayev, A.A. Temirzhanova, K.B. Omashev, and senior lecturer B.T. Kusanova took a professional development course in Application of Distance Learning Technologies in the Educational Process (72 hours) and received certificates for participation.
• Head of the Department, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Professor N.B. Burambayeva took part in the competition for the title of the Best Lecturer of the University where she won a prize and was awarded a diploma.
• Year 2 students of the MShOOT-201 group Botagoz Zhabiyeva participated in the Academic Mobility program and studied in Prague, the Czech Republic, during 1 semester.
• TPPZh-202 group student Ayzhan Keldybekova participated in the XIII Satpayev Readings, the Animal Breeding section, and won the first prize in the Young Scientists, Undergraduate and Graduate Students nomination; the MShOOT-301 group student Aynash Begalinova took the second place; the TPPZh-302 group students Kseniya Kurochkina and Anna Kazayeva took the third place.
• The members of the teaching staff are also actively involved in research projects in the field of agriculture funded by the MES of RK, MAS of RK and other organizations for the total sum of KZT 22.75 million.
• Within the Zhas Ghalym project, the students of the ZOO-401 group performed a research project entitled Study of Productive and Biological Peculiarities of the Meat Merrinos Breed under the supervision of senior lecturer, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences K.B. Omashev. Summarizing the results of the project, an album of fine-wool and semifine-wool sheep was made.
• Certificates for successful implementation of the research results of the teaching staff members at various agricultural companies (Bovshik PF, Zhelezenka area; Akzhar-Ondiris LLP, Maysk area).

O. Beller (ZOO-42). The Influence of Intermittent Lighting on the Productivity of Laying Hens. Supervised by Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor Zh.Zh. Uakhitov.

The project entitled “The Results of Commercial Crossbreeding of Large White Pigs with Boars of the Duroc and Yorkshire Breeds” performed by the ZOO-42 group student O. Kulikov and supervised by T.K. Bekseitov was presented at the projects contest organized by the Foundation of the First President.
