Quality objectives of the Faculty of Energy for the 2024-2025 academic year
Management:
- Managing the faculty based on the efficient distribution of functions and authority.
- Ensuring compliance with labor discipline.
- Maintaining a stable, highly professional faculty staff that meets qualification requirements.
Criteria:
- Efficient distribution of authority functions among dean’s office employees and faculty departments.
- Ensuring the participation in relevant professional development courses aligned with the disciplines taught.
- 100% adherence to labor discipline.
Methodology:
- Creating a high-quality educational environment that complies with the requirements of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan by improving the methodological support and educational process.
- Integrating innovative technologies and teaching methods into educational-methodological complexes.
Indicators:
- Successful implementation of the plan to publish 15 educational resources, including digital learning materials.
- Active participation of academic staff in scientific and methodological work (presentations at seminars).
- Increasing the proportion of educational materials in the state language to 30%.
Educational-Methodological:
- Introducing modern educational technologies and considering labor market demands, along with the needs of students as consumers of educational services, to prepare competitive specialists.
- Gradual transition to a flexible learning system, addressing gaps in the dual education model, and considering students' individual learning trajectories and competencies required for future professions described in the "Atlas of New Professions."
- Expanding opportunities for professional training through collaboration between universities, including academic mobility for students and faculty in cooperation with Russian and foreign universities to access modern educational programs and practices.
Goals:
- Significantly improve student performance to 95%.
- Implement a flexible learning system with 70% elective courses and develop modular programs for all educational disciplines.
- Provide academic mobility for at least 15 students, master’s, and doctoral candidates.
- Actively use immersive practical training programs with VR/AR technologies.
- Strengthen micro-qualification infrastructures and practical bases in leading regional enterprises.
Scientific:
- Increasing the share of academic staff with scientific and academic degrees by improving their scientific and pedagogical qualifications.
- Supporting the research potential of academic staff and students.
- Actively participating in grant funding competitions for scientific research projects.
- Implementing projects under economic agreements and the "Strong University - Strong Region" program.
Indicators:
- Increasing the proportion of lecturers with scientific degrees (PhD, Doctor of Science) in core subjects to an average of 55%.
- Expanding scientific and academic activities.
Educational:
Under the "Holistic Personality" (Тұтастық Адам) concept:
- Providing social and material support to orphans, children without parental care, and those under guardianship.
- Creating conditions for students with disabilities to study.
- Actively participating in volunteer initiatives.
- Ensuring the involvement of creative, active, and athletic students in public life.
Criteria:
- Social and material support for orphans from all departments.
- Accessibility for students with disabilities.
- Organizing year-round volunteer activities.
- Student participation in national, regional, and city competitions, cleanup days, and cultural events.
Economic Affairs:
- Developing the material and technical base (educational and research laboratories) to equip the educational process with modern equipment, computers, and educational materials.
Planned Actions:
- Submitting a proposal for the allocation of technical equipment for the "Renewable Energy Sources" laboratory.
- Equipping workshops for vocational training in working professions.
Marketing and Vocational Guidance:
- Increasing enrollment through improved vocational guidance and promotional activities throughout the year and during the admissions period at all three levels of education.
Goals:
- Increase enrollment by 5% compared to the previous academic year.
- Conduct vocational guidance activities in five schools and colleges in Pavlodar city.
