Research work at the Faculty is aimed at studying topical problems of Kazakhstan's economy in the context of globalization, development of mechanisms for increasing innovative activity as a factor of ensuring competitiveness of the national economy.

Research work is carried out in several fields: participation in research projects and competitions, organization of international research conferences, publication of research results in periodicals.

Faculty members win grants from the Ministry of Education and Science for their research projects.

Starting from year 1, students are actively involved in research activities. The University holds Satpayev Readings research conference for young scientists, students and schoolchildren. It has gained international status since 2007. Students of the Faculty participate in conferences both in Kazakhstan and abroad. They also take an active part in the work of the Private Investors Club and international organizations, as well as perform research projects under the Zhas Galym program. Every year over 100 students participate in performance of research projects.
