October 15 2009, S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University's International Affairs Department held a meeting with Laura Paluanova, education programs manager of the regional office of International Research and Exchange Board (IREX). The meeting was intended for 1st, 2nd, 3rd year students and Master’s degree students, and served to present to the interested parties international education programs under Edmund Muskie Graduate Fellowship Program, Eurasian Student Exchange Program and others.

Euroasian Student Exchange Program provides scholarships for 1st, 2nd and 3rd year students of Kazakhstani institutions of higher education covering 17 majors for the duration of 1 academic year without issuing of degree at universities and colleges of USA.

The E. Muskie scholarship program is designed for undergraduate students willing to receive their Master’s degree at US universities. This year some 13 Kazakhstani specialists will be selected for majors that include business administration, law and state administration.

For the purpose of implementation of international education programs and increasing the number of scholarship grantees, it is planned to continue tight cooperation with the regional office of International Research and Exchange Board (IREX).
