With the support of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the “Zhastar” Research Center launched the “Jastar Research Hub” young experts accelerator project, which is aimed at developing the analytical and research competencies of young people, as well as forming a pool of young experts capable of developing and promoting solutions to current issues of state youth policy.
The project is intended for master's and doctoral students interested in research and expert activities in the fields of youth policy, public administration, digitalization, regional development and social processes.
The project includes:
- competitive selection of participants (from May 4 to June 4, 2026);
- conducting a training program;
- preparation and presentation of analytical reports;
- attracting participants to expert forums and ensuring interaction with state bodies;
- assistance in professional development and employment.
To participate in the project, applicants must fill out an application on the website www.eljastary.kz.

In accordance with the «Rules for the allocation of vacant educational grants for higher and postgraduate education leading to the award of a bachelor’s or master’s degree, which have become vacant in the course of study», online applications are being accepted for vacant educational grants for bachelor’s and master’s programs that have become available during the learning process.
Applications may be submitted through the Students’ Personal Account from 18 May to 05 June 2026.
To participate in the competition, students on a contractual basis must attach the following documents:
- application addressed to the Chairman of the Board-Rector on participation in the competition;
- application for a transcript;
- a copy of the identity card.
The list of vacant grants is posted on the university portal, in the section "For students" - "Vacant grants" (link: https://tou.edu.kz/ru/?option=com_content&view=article&id=9974) .
The competition is based on the results of an intermediate assessment based on the GPA average. In the case of the same indicators of the GPA (Grade Point Average - Great Point Everage), students who have grades only A, A- ("excellent"), then - grades from A, A- ("excellent") to B+, B, B-, C+ ("good"), then - mixed marks for the entire period of study.
Applications of applicants are considered in the context of a group of educational programs, a course of study, a training base (on the basis of a school / college).
In the absence of applicants for a group of educational programs, vacant educational grants are redistributed within the field of study and further across the field of education.
The decision to award vacant grants released in the course of study is made by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education on the recommendation of the Academic Council of the University.
