Three teams-representatives of Toraighyrov University, Pavlodar College of Service and Nutrition and Technological College fought in an unusual Olympiad - “Traditional cuisine of nomads”.

Instead of the usual theoretical questions - culinary attributes, caps, coats.

Each team has 5 people and one rare dish. Time is limited, competition is increasing.

Teams prepared national dishes according to old recipes from grandmother's chest.

According to the head of the Department of Biotechnology, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Kuralay Isaeva, traditional recipes and dishes popular among the nomads of Kazakhstan were taken as a basis.

The most pleasant thing for the jury members was to evaluate the work - to taste.

The Zhas Orda team from Technological College did not give their rivals any chance of winning, and having coped with the recipes of "Borzhyma" and "Kyshkyl Sary May" won the 1st place.

Zhent with the original design by the "Nomad kitchen" team won the 2nd place.

"Nomads of PSU" team won the 3rd place. Participants prepared a zhent with an innovative composition.

It is worth noting that the team of scientists of the university are the winners of the Tempus program. The focus of the work is to reproduce forgotten technologies, to make a brand of our country. The result of the work was the book "Traditional cuisine of nomads".
