The solemn meeting dedicated to the 55th anniversary of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University was held at the University.

The event was opened by the rector of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, Doctor of Political Sciences, Aryn Orsariyev. Congratulating guests and all participants of the event, the rector emphasized that “the University’s achievements are the result of wholehearted labour, worthy fruits of joint work of empathetic team members, good minded companions, who have the common goal, which is prosperity of the University”. “PSU worked its way up from a simple single-storeyed barrack to the center of “scientific gravitation” of the regional and republican level. Our University grew up and advanced in wisdom, perceived the unique conception of the reality, which includes respect for the origins and openness to the diverse world”, noted Aryn Amangeldiyevich.

Among honorary guests of the event were distinguished scientists and researchers, religious and cultural workers, veterans and students, i.e. the deputy of the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Askar Kuzekov, the deputy akim of Pavlodar oblast Gani Sadibekov, the legal adviser of the minister of culture and sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan Garifolla Essim, the honored artist of the Republic of Kazakhstan Shakhimardan Abilov, et al.

The first deputy chairman of the Nur Otan party Ayzada Kurmanova, the deputy of the oblast’s maslikhat Idiyat Abdykalykov came to congratulate the University on its anniversary.

Also guests from the USA, UK and Russia delivered their welcome speeches to the participants of the event.

Beside this, the official part of the forum included keynote speeches from the head of the classical school No.3 for gifted children Zhomart Karambayev, the personnel and social affairs managing director of “Pavlodar Oil Chemistry Refinery” LLP Altyn Imantayeva.

In the course of the solemn meeting, the recognition ceremony, acknowledging the contributions of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University’s employees to social, economic and cultural development of the University and oblast, was held. Aryn Orsariyev presented the employees with badges of “Y. Altynsarin” and “Honorary worker of education”, letters of appreciation from the Ministry of Education and Science, S. Toraighyrov gold medals, certificates of recognition from the akim of Pavlodar oblast and letters of appreciation from the maslikhat of Pavlodar oblast.

A gala concert to mark the anniversary was held at the end of the solemn event. Soloists of the student philharmonic also gave their congratulations to the leaders of the University.
