In a market economy, a trade union is a public body of mutual support and assistance. The main purpose of trade union is to protect the social and labor rights and interests of its members.

The trade union of Toraighyrov University takes an active part in the organization and development of sanatorium therapy, health-improving recreation, organizes cultural and sports events among the members of the trade union and their families.

The trade union is an association of university employees which aiming to solve a number of pressing issues. Material support is providing to the teaching staff and university staff, members of the trade union who is in difficult life situations.

The main areas of work of the trade union:

- Social support for members of the trade union organization and their children

- Birthday greetings on 50, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80 years with the award

- Material support in difficult life situations (funeral, illness)

- Participation in the organization and conduct of sports events among the teaching staff and employees of the university

- Carrying out New Year children's matinees at the expense of trade union dues

- Contribution of funds for the New Year's corporate party of employees

The main function is to defend the social and economic rights of workers.

The work of the trade union of employees of Toraighyrov University is carried out on the basis of the regulations: «Trade union of employees of S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar state university” («Профсоюзная организация сотрудников Павлодарского государственного университета имени С.Торайгырова»), according to statute of “Pavlodar regional organization of the Kazakhstan branch trade union of workers of education and science”(«Павлодарская областная организация Казахстанского отраслевого профессионального союза работников образования и науки») approved by the decision of the trade union committee on February 27, 2017, protocol No. 3.

                                                                                                                  Signing a collective agreement !!!

 

For the first time at the Republican level, Rector Begentaev Meiram Mukhametrakhimovich and the Chairman of the trade union organization of PSU named after S. Toraigyrova Uakhitov Zhastlek Zhumabaevich signed an updated collective agreement for 2019-2022. Agreement signed with the participation of the head of the Republican branch trade union of education and science workers Aigul Maksatovna Mukashev. The agreement includes following changes and additions on the initiative of the PSU rector:

1) Additional paid leave of three calendar days for women with four or more children under the age of 12, as well as for women with dependent children with disabilities under the age of 18.

2) In order to improve physical qualities, provide the faculty and staff of the University with the right to engage in physical training during the working week with the preservation of wages in sports and recreation sections. It includes free visits to the sports and recreation complex "Sunkar", no more than 1 hour a day three times a week in accordance with the approved regulation, for the successful passing of the normative tests of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - the Leader of the Nation.

3) Remuneration of labor of university employees on holidays and weekends shall be made in accordance with labor or collective agreements, or an act of the employer, not less than one and a half of the official salary, taking into account additional payments and allowances.

4) To grant the right to engage in volunteer activities for the teaching staff of the University and staff, during working hours no more than four hours a week during the period of participation in volunteer actions no more than two times a year, with the preservation of wages, according to individual plans and job descriptions.

The PSU staff and the administration discussed all these additions. The discussions were first exposed to the public through social networks such as Facebook and Instagram. These discussions were massive, many proposals were made that were taken into account and changes were made.

 

                              Strengthening and developing social partnership at the enterprise level is one of the important points in the work of the trade union.

 

In a market economy, a trade union is a public body of mutual support and assistance, the main purpose of which is to protect the social and labor rights and interests of its members. The administration of the university and the trade unions of employees and students jointly implement a socially significant program to improve the health of students, teaching staff and employees of Toraighyrov University. This program implemented in the Republic of Kazakhstan for the first time and its main goal is the early prevention and treatment of diseases among the teaching staff and staff. For this purpose, the “Kazmed A” medical center has been opened on the territory of the university. This allows all students, teaching staff and staff to receive first aid within walking distance from the university without any problems. In this regard, we are working to provide employees of the university - members of the trade union with favorable working conditions.

The purpose of this program is to provide social support to trade union members, increase the availability of treatment, health improvement and recreation, expand the range of medical services for trade union members, and increase the motivation of trade union membership. Expansion of the range of medical services to members of the trade union, prevention of disease among members of the trade union. "Kazmed A" medical center assists to employees and students of university on an outpatient basis within the guaranteed volume of free medical care. For assigned students, teaching staff and staff, consultative and diagnostic assistance is provided, including preventive examinations, specialized examinations of children of teaching staff and employees, laboratory services, diagnostic services, outpatient drug provision, stationary - substitute assistance.
