Olga Gareyeva, a student of group DMt-302s, Department of Metallurgy, S. Toraighyrov Pavlodar State University, defended her graduation project in English.

President Nursultan Nazarbayev emphasized that ‘... Kazakhstan must be perceived worldwide as a highly educated country with the population speaking three languages: the Kazakh language (the state language), the Russian language (the language of interethnic communication) and the English language (for successful integration into the global economy).’

S. Toraigyrov Pavlodar State University pays particular attention to the development of multilingualism. PSU is among 20 universities of our country involved in the multilingualism development project. The University has developed a program for implementation of multilingual education in 2012-2016 by means of introduction of innovative teaching technologies in the learning process in three languages.

Scientific supervisor of the graduation project, Doctor of Engineering Sciences, Professor Nurgul Smaylova noted the topicality of the graduation project and emphasized that the University is working on educating an individual as a multilinguistic personality based on simultaneous learning of several languages.

Topicality of the research consists in studying the ways of reducing the cost of the end product (alumina), improving equipment operation at minimum cost, as well as reconstruction of the equipment for increasing the productivity.
